Review: Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter

Inspired and influenced by the historic French Quarter in New Orleans, one of the world’s most vivacious cities, this Disney Moderate Resort hotel offers old-world charm amid secluded verdant surroundings.

This beautiful Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter resort is set close to Epcot, Downtown Disney Area and Disney’s BoardWalk Area.

Guests can use the Ol’ Man Island pool complex located at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside as well as Doubloon Lagoon, which is on-site in the Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter. For those who like to keep active, there is a lovely jogging and walking trail that meanders along the Sassagoula River, or perhaps you could rent a bicycle or enjoy catch-and-release at the Fishin’ Hole located at its sister property. For holiday essentials and Disney gifts, visit Jackson Square Gifts & Desires, located inside The Mint building.

Comfortable Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter resort guest rooms are positioned along pretty landscaped lanes, with some overlooking the Sassagoula River, they each feature cable TV with Disney programming, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, coffeemaker, mini-fridge and ceiling fan. Pizza delivery is also available in the evenings to order straight to your room – an extra treat after a long day!

For quick-service Food & Drink in French Quarter, the Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory provides casual American- and Caribbean-style fare including many New Orleans favourites. Scat Cat’s Club is a fabulous evening venue for cocktails and appetisers.

Children will be fascinated with the resort’s Doubloon Lagoon pool complex, which includes a waterslide that resembles a giant sea serpent. They also have their own playground and video game arcade on-site.
