Overview
This is the most compact of all the Disney resorts, and that’s a big plus if you’re not keen on lots of walking. Styled after New Orleans, it’s full of charm – think wrought-iron balconies, cobbled streets and jazz in the background. It’s small but beautifully themed, and super peaceful.
Poolside
The Mardi Gras-themed Doubloon Lagoon pool has a sea serpent waterslide that’s a hit with kids. There’s also a hot tub, kiddie pool and plenty of shady spots for lounging. The whole vibe is relaxed and easy-going.
Food & Drink
Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory is the main spot – great for casual eats, and don’t leave without trying the Mickey-shaped beignets. There’s also a cute little lounge with live music some nights.
Entertainment
Live jazz, movie nights and horse-drawn carriage rides along the riverbank – this place is all about chilled-out evenings. Perfect if you want a break from the buzz of the parks.
Sports & Activities
You can rent bikes or take a walk along the river. There’s also a poolside arcade, and for something different, hop on a boat to Disney Springs.
