Review: Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts

THE VIBE

In the midst of verdant scenery sits Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, with its 5-storey building that has been designed in a striking New England yacht club style. Guests can choose to be as active or as restful as they wish here, with a plethora of water- and land-based activities as well as a host of Food & Drink options and even an excellent kids’ activity centre.

SETTING

This stunning Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts is located close to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s BoardWalk Area.

AT THE HOTEL

Two fantastic water areas rest behind the resort: Stormalong Bay, which extends 3 acres and features with waterslides and a life-sized replica of a wrecked ship, as well as lagoons, a lazy river and a sand-bottomed pool, the 25-acre Crescent Lake is where guests can relax on its white-sand shores, or fish or rent watercraft from the Bayside Marina. There are three quiet pools located within this resort and its sister, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, as well as two hot tubs. Active guests can also take advantage of the volleyball and tennis courts on-site, as well as jogging trails and opportunities to hire bicycles to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings!

The 24-hour Ship Shape Health Club benefits from state-of-the-art equipment, and after a tough workout, indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment (local charge). Periwig’s Beauty and Barber Shop is positioned between Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Located in the lobby, Fittings & Fairings, Clothes & Notions sells sundries and other essential holiday items.

IN THE ROOMS

Each room includes alarm clock with MP3 player, cable TV, Wi-Fi available, coffee maker, mini fridge, a ceiling fan, full length mirror, and a safe to keep your valuables.
