Sympathetically designed to encompass its amazing natural surroundings, The South Seas Island Resort will really make you think you are in a tropical paradise. Set in a 330-acre wildlife preserve, which includes 2.5 miles of sandy beaches on the Gulf of Mexico coast, it is the perfect place for families and couples to enjoy their Florida holiday.
You have a choice of 465 spacious guestrooms, villas and cottages at the resort. All accommodation is luxurious and includes sumptuous 300 thread count linens, flat-screen television with VCR or DVD player, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, coffeemaker and daily newspaper delivery. You also have access to a washer/dryer and all rooms have a balcony.
Villas and cottages have additional bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchens and usually screen balconies. Some have in-room safe facilities.
Kids & Family
Swimtastic offers pool toys and swimming lessons for the youngsters. Kids will love the latest addition to the complex H2WHOA!, which boasts two water slides jetting out from its tower. Skully’s Family Interactive Center is home to the award-winning Tiva Kids Camp with activities for all ages and Skully’s Arcade. ‘Tweens and Teens can enjoy Night Out for parent-free fun and a time to meet and make new friends.
At the Sanibel Sea School, they’ll learn all about marine conservation. Youngsters will love shelling on Captiva’s beaches too.

Food & Drink
A wide range of Food & Drink options is available for you to enjoy in South Seas Island Resort. You can grab all of your 3 meals a day at the Harbourside Bar & Grill, including their ‘catch of the day’ or poolside al fresco Food & Drink at The Pointe Restaurant. The Holy Smoke Heavenly Barbecue promises ‘Better Burgers’, their signature dish. Scoops & Slices for pizza and ice cream, as well as all the candy you can scoop. Freshly made sandwiches and salads are made for you at the Captiva Provision Store and you can pick up any other provisions you may need. Last but not least are the 2 coffee houses: the resort’s own Ship’s Store and a Starbucks for carry out coffees and pastries.
Set in the Gulf of Mexico just north of Sanibel Island, this little slice of tropical paradise is a real get-away-from-it-all destination. Despite this, everything is easily accessible. Cape Coral and Fort Myers are pretty close at just 27 and 32 miles away respectively. The South Seas Island Resort has complimentary trolleys that travel around the resort from early until late.
