The Vibe

The Great Ceremonial Hall at Disney’s Polynesian Resort greets you with water tumbling over craggy rocks and coconut palms. You’ve been whisked away to a tropical retreat in the South Pacific full of lush vegetation, koi ponds and white sand lakeside beaches. Thatched roofs complete the authentic look and you’re in paradise, or more correctly Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Whether it’s a family holiday or a romantic getaway you won’t be disappointed.

You can enjoy a lakeside outlook and white sandy beaches. A perfect place to catch the nightly Electrical Water Pageant or even sneak a look at the fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle across the lake. There are free shuttle buses to all of Disney’s theme and water parks or take the monorail Disney’s Magic Kingdom® theme park and Epcot® theme park.

The Hotel

Make the most of all that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has to offer to experience this paradise to the full. Enjoy the 40-foot high volcano complete with waterfall and waterslide to plunge you into the Nanea Volcano Pool and let the youngsters have heaps of fun in the wet play area. Alternatively take a swim or relax in the Poly East Pool. The Seven Seas Lagoon offers opportunities for fishing, boating and various water sports whilst the nearby Health Club and Spa, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, beckons with its fitness equipment and pampering treatments.

Chill out on the white sand beaches around the lagoon on the lounge chairs or hire a cabana with hammocks, TV and exceptional personal service whilst the youngsters make sand castles. This is a great place to watch the nightly fireworks at the Magic Kingdom® or of course the resort’s own stunning nightly Electrical Water Pageant.

The Rooms

Make your choice from 847 luxurious rooms in this 3-storey air conditioned hotel. Rooms carry on the South Seas theme with hot colours and traditional bamboo and rattan furnishings.

Paradise comes with all mod cons including cable TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fan, make-up mirror and full-length mirror, comfy bathrobes, in-room safe, coffeemaker, mini-fridge, alarm clock with MP3 player, hairdryer, iron and board. Pack ‘n Play Playards (portable cot/playpen) are available on request.

Kids & Family

Simple playtime on the beaches or getting soaked at the wet play area are both great attractions for the kids. There is also Moana Mickey’s Arcade for all the video game entertainment they can hope for, though you might not be as pleased! They’ll also love to catch a Disney film at Movies under the Stars.

There is an additional charge for the Peter Pan-themed Never Land Club, which is a supervised activity centre for kids aged 3 to 12. It opens daily at 4pm so that your youngsters can enjoy watching Disney movies and play with other kids their age, whilst you enjoy some adult alone time. Kids get dinner and snacks too.

Food & Drink

You won’t be disappointed with the choice of Food & Drink options at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. You’ll find Polynesian-influenced dishes in two of the restaurants, ‘Ohana and Kona Cafe, American cuisine and ‘staple’ fast foods at Captain Cooks. Kona Island offers great breakfasts and morphs into a sushi restaurant for dinner. For a special treat gasp at the hula hoopers and fire and knife throwers at the Alhoa Dinner Show in the outdoor theatre. End the evening with an after dinner cocktail at the Tambu Lounge.


The resort is situated across the Seven Seas Lagoon from Disney’s Magic Kingdom® theme park you’ll find Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
