Disney’s Wilderness Lodge rests within leafy grounds that are reminiscent of Grand American Northwest National Parks. Its magnificent pine-wood lobby building, towering 7 storeys high, hosts an 82-foot fireplace and two 55-foot totem poles – paying homage to Native American culture. Don’t miss the spectacular Fire Rock Geyser, with its column of water jetting 120 feet into the air.
Amid pretty surroundings you’ll be greeted by a bubbling spring that flows into a creek, which plunges over a sparkling waterfall and empties into the resort swimming pool. There are two swimming pools in total, plus a white-sand beach that fringes Bay Lake for basking on and soaking up the glorious Floridian sunshine. There’s an on-site 24-hour fitness centre and sauna at the Sturdy Branches Health Club, jogging trails, fishing and bicycle rentals available.
