Fun, colourful, oversized icons of toys, music, gadgets, movies and fads celebrating 20th Century popular culture greet you at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. From the 1950s through to the 1990s, there are references to crazes and games you’ll remember enjoying from Play Doh to Rubik’s Cubes.
When you need a little recovery time from the busy Walt Disney World® theme parks, Disney’s Pop Century resort has 3 great swimming pools in which to cool down and have fun. Set in the different themed sections, you’ll find some retro theming to entice you into the water. Hey man, try the main crazy, flower shaped Hippy Dippy pool in the 60s section. Or get your sneakers on for a visit to the smaller Bowling pool in the shape of a bowling pin in the 50s section (remember to take them off before you get in). A monitor-shaped Computer pool in the 90s section will appeal to all those digital techies amongst you. Or you can enjoy a walk, or for the more active a jog, following the trail around the resort. Trail maps are available from the concierge in the Classic Hall. For any forgotten holiday items or some Disney souvenirs visit the Everything Pop shop in the Classic Hall.
The handy Key to the World Card facility allows you to put money on your room key to spend in the theme parks. It is linked to the credit card used to book your accommodation and you can increase or decrease your limit anytime during your stay. This service can be arranged at reception on check-in.
